This baby dress is made with yellow & green red heart lustersheen yarn. The yoke is pretty much a circle, folded in half. The pattern stitches are shells made by 3 dc with one chain between. A really quick project once you get started.
Discussing what is on my hook and on my mind...fasten your seat belts!
Make a foundation chain with an even number of stitches.
Row One: To crochet the first row, take a single crochet stitch into each of the foundation chain stitches made in the previous step. Make 6 chain stitches and turn your work.
2nd Row: Bring the yarn over the crochet hook so that the yarn is caught in the hook sectopm. Make the puff stitch by inserting the hook into the second single crochet stitch in from the hook. Bring through a 1/2" loop. Rep this twice, leaving 7 lps on the hook. Bring the yarn over the hook as you did at the beg. of the step, and pull the 7 lps through. Make 1 ch st, and rep. the following stitching sequence until you come to the end of the row: Make 2 ch sts. Skip over 2 sc sts, and (as you did above) insert the hook into the second sc st in from the hook and bring through a 1/2" lp. Rep. this twice, leaving 7 lps on the hook. Bring the yarn over the hook as you did at the beginning of the step, and pull the 7 loops thru. Ch-1, turn.
3rd Row: Make a single crochet stitch into each chain stitch as well as each puff stitch until you reach the end of the row.
Finish the piece by repeating the instructions for Row 2 & 3

It's adorable yellow baby dress... Perfect for my niece!!
Thank you! It has a matching bonnet that I never posted a photo of. I should probably do that. It did win a blue ribbon at the fair, which I was happily surprised about. Thank you for visiting my blog. Take care!
Do you have a pattern for this dress? I would love to make this dress, as the grandmother loves these colours together and wants a dress with the combination of the two colours.
I am sorry but I made this dress before I started writing down patterns. I guess you can say I practiced on this one. Thank you for asking.
